This October Take Art and Artsreach are delighted to present a joint rural tour featuring SAMAY, a unique music collective fusing Indian and European music, performing at five community venues across Somerset and Dorset.
Samay comprises of five highly accomplished musicians from India and Europe, each member adding personal touches of Indian classical, samba, flamenco, jazz and funk; constructing original arrangements and exploring new ways of understanding and creating music. The result is a vibrant, colourful and seamlessly woven sound, leading audiences through an unforgettable evening’s performance that spans continents and decades.

Samay are usually found performing at festivals and large-scale venues, which have included QEH London, City of London Festival, Sheffield City Hall, FuseLeeds and Musicport. Members of Samay have also individually worked alongside high profile international artists, including Akram Khan, Corinne Bailey Rae, Bickram Ghosh and Andy Sheppard.
