We are looking to recruit a local Community Builder to work with us as a critical guide on the ground. The Community Builder needs to ideally live or work in Bridgwater who is directly connected to and linked into the various communities in the town. The Community Builder will be passionate about climate change and adaptation.
This is a Part Time Freelance/Self Employed Role – 6 days @ £200 a day = £1200 between March and June 2023.
Emerge is a proposed two-year, environmentally inspired partnership project that will draw together communities in Bridgwater in unforeseen ways via a high quality, large-scale, arts-led public engagement programme throughout 2023/24. The overarching theme will be climate change and the specific threats Bridgwater faces. By uniting those stirred by these issues, the arts and a passion for Bridgwater’s history and future, we hope the project will act as a catalyst, or a ‘call to action’, for climate adaptation.
Applicants will have good links within Bridgwater communities, with excellent communication skills, who can engage and listen to people’s ideas and bring them together as an evaluation report to inform the funding bid for the next part of this project.
If you would like to apply for this role please read the downloadable brief that has the full details of the role on and what you need to do to apply.
The deadline is 5pm on 6th February.
