Take Art Early Years Creativity offers a transformational, high quality programme of performance, participation and advocacy with a local, but growing national and international, focus. We do this by providing sensational, life-changing experiences for under-fives and the people who care for them and by building a robust sector ecology predicated on high quality relationships and partnerships.
We have a proven track record as a leader in this field and the Take Art EY specialism is a priority area that sits alongside our rural touring, theatre, dance, music and international areas of work. We are seeking an experienced and passionate individual to lead and develop this Take Art specialism and to take overall responsibility for two key projects and the EY team that is delivering them.
Making & Believing is a Paul Hamlyn Foundation-funded programme running till 2024 working with two national arts partners, aiming to deliver high quality, small-scale creative arts experiences for children and their adults through cross art-form EY workshops, live performance and workforce development.
Soundwaves Network 4 is a new Youth Music funded 3 year south west region project starting in November 2021 providing EY staff sector support and participative activities through music.
The postholder will occupy a senior staff role within the Take Art team sharing a number of whole organisation responsibilities. Drive, vision, proven fundraising and project delivery experience are all essential criteria in determining the right person for this post. Due to Take Art’s rural location it is essential that you have access to your own means of transport.
Take Art is committed to equality and strives to create a diverse and inclusive working environment that reflects the diversity of the UK population. Our recruitment process is open to all, but we particularly wish to encourage applicants from backgrounds that are currently under-represented within the sector as well as our organisation. We value the positive impact that increased diversity will bring to our organisation.
