Supporting your Early Years Music Practice

Join us for a hands-on, active session designed to inspire and enhance your approach to music in early childhood settings

This practical workshop will help you:

  • Learn rhymes, simple songs and creative ideas to nurture children's natural musicality
  • Explore short films showcasing young children's spontaneous music-making and reflect on the educator's role in supporting this.
  • Consider effective use of resources - instruments, props and recorded music - to encourage and sustain music-making in early years.

Date and Time: Thursday 15th January at 6:30pm - 8:30pm. Formal start at 7pm with a buffet
Location: The Main Hall, Yeovil College

About Jane Parker

Jane Parker brings a wealth of expertise as an educator and researcher in Early Years music. She is Take Art’s Early Years Music Specialist and Co-Director of the Certificate for Music Educators: Early Childhood (CME:EC) course at The Centre for Research in Early Childhood (CREC). Her experience and passion make this session an invaluable opportunity for anyone working with very young children.
