What information do we collect and how do we use it?

We collect personal data from you when you register to join our database, receive newsletters, fill in online forms, contribute materials and join discussion forums. This information is protected by UK data protection law. We remind you about our data collection policy when you sign up for our mailing list.

We ask you to provide us with details such as name and email address — many fields on our sign up form are optional but certain fields are mandatory. The data we collect from you is an important function in realising the goals of Take Art, namely market our events and support the work of Somerset artists and practitioners.

We do not share your personal information with third parties or send you Take Art communication without your prior consent — you must give us your consent to do so by ticking the relevant check box when you register on the site. Should you wish to terminate your subscription to our newsletter, you will find an unsubscribe link at the bottom of each newsletter.

Legal Requirements

While it is unlikely, Take Art may be required to disclose your user data by a court order or to comply with other legal requirements. We will endeavour to inform you of this requirement wherever possible, unless we are legally restricted from doing so.

No commercial disposal to third parties

Take Art does not sell, rent or distribute any personally identifying data from our users to third parties for commercial purposes without your prior consent.

We use Google Analytics to collect information about how people use this site. We do this to make sure it’s meeting its users’ needs and to understand how we could do it better.
