Join Take Art and the Ham Hill Rangers to celebrate Chill on the Hill’s 5th year anniversary along with the new café and visitor’s centre at Ham Hill Country Park. Expect a Somerset, summer celebration of creativity and feel-good arts including live performances, workshops, circus, music, local food, and fun for the whole family.

This year, the event will start at the new Ham Hill café and visitors centre with workshops and activity for all followed by a procession of music and sound to the stone circle…you might just see a scarecrow on route!

Save the Date and celebrate with Chill on the Hill 2026!

Chill on the Hill is back for 2026 and this year we are celebrating our 5th Birthday!  - Whatever the weather, we welcome you to another year of creative, community connection set in the beautiful country park of Ham Hill. The perfect day out at the end of the summer holidays and something for everyone – dogs on leads are also welcome!

Come and share a day with friends and family and join us for a joyful day of live performances, uplifting music, creative workshops, and delicious local food.

On The Shoulders

We are delighted to welcome back Somerset’s sensational circus company this year – Pirates of the Carabina, perform their brand-new show for 2026, On The Shoulders, a new outdoor aerial circus show celebrating the power of women to inspire, support and lift us up.

Beautiful, surprising and unlike anything else you'll see this summer.  Three multi-skilled performers blend aerial, circus, dance, puppetry, verbatim theatre and live music, performed in, on and around a spectacular giant female puppet. On The Shoulders brings humour and beauty to the real stories of women living in the South West, exploring our collective strength and intergenerational connection.

A production by Pirates of the Carabina, the award-winning creators of Flown and Pirate Taxi. Supported by Arts Council England.

Full Chill on the Hill Programme Coming Soon!

We’ve got a jam-packed programme of performances, workshops, and creative activities on the way – and we can’t wait to share it with you! Stay tuned to the Take Art website and follow us on social media for all the latest updates and how to book for our creative workshops!

You can register your attendance now by donating whatever you can (however big or small). All donations go back into bringing more to the programme and the day’s events. We are asking £1 per person or more if you are able. It’s proven that the creative arts and being outdoors and surrounded by nature benefits our mental wellbeing and deepens our connection with the world around us, giving us space to ‘CHILL’ - so please, donate what you can.

We can’t wait to see you there and be part of our BIG, BIRTHDAY BASH!

What to bring?

  • Come rain or shine the event will continue and we have lots of marquees and gazebos to keep you dry, or you can dance in the rain. Please come prepared for all weathers – the Great British weather can sometimes be unpredictable so pack your sun cream and your umbrella!
  • We would suggest bringing either a picnic blanket or a camping chair to sit on.
  • A key element of Chill on the Hill is to promote and support local food producers. New for this year we are delighted to welcome East Chinnock’s A Slice of Salerno Pizza Horsebox along with Queen Camel’s - Sugar and Bloom providing sweet treats and afternoon cake. New for this year we can’t wait to sip the hot drinks from ARVO Caffeine – a perfect treat when you have time to sit, relax and soak up the atmosphere!
