Transport yourself to a whimsical woodland world… or dance with Elvis in Blue Hawaii! Over February and March the Take Art Rural Touring scheme brings you a wide range of shows that will fill you with awe, make you laugh, and get up and dance!  

Catch Larkhall (aka Charlie Hooper-Williams), his piano, and his AI co-performer Otto for the last time with Take Art at the David Hall. This beautiful evening is a mixture of original piano compositions accompanied by striking, fluid visual projections that flow around the room to the music Charlie plays. Do not miss him!

Spitz and co. returns to the scheme after years away with their hit show Elvis in Blue Hawaii. A hilarious romp through the fragile male ego and the woman cleaning up after him. Catch this side-splitting show in March as this show takes a bumper tour around Somerset.

For families, we are hosting a beautiful multi-artform puppetry show, Breathe. Straight from a sell-out run at the Edinburgh Fringe, this show will guide audiences of all ages through the wonderful wood, meeting characters along the way.

This show combines puppetry with live music and film to create a world you’ll fall in love with. We will have one more performance in May if you can't catch this one.

Bonfire Radicals are coming to Somerset to get you off your seats and dancing to their unique blend of energetic rhythms, intricate folk-inspired melodies, and carefully controlled madness! They are a band that you cannot help but have a good time to. See you on the dancefloor in Roadwater and Castle Cary.

Join this expert kora player, percussionist, singer and composer Suntou from The Gambia for an evening of music, culture and learning. He is joined by his father for a special run of shows in March and April, where they play the kora - a harp-lute with 22 strings – which is unique to the Griots of the Mandinka people. This will be not just a relaxed evening with music but a true cultural experience!
