April 28, 2026
At the beginning of April, we celebrated our final Spring Forward performances of 2026 — a vibrant showcase of talent, creativity, and community spirit. Across four sold-out performances at the Tacchi Morris Arts Centre in Taunton and the McMillan Theatre in Bridgwater, more than 500 dancers from 37 groups across and the South-West took to the stage in front of enthusiastic audiences.
The performances featured an incredible variety of styles — from contemporary and commercial to cheer, acro, and circus — each one bringing its own energy, artistry, and originality. The standard of performance was exceptional, with every group showcasing not only technical skill, but also imagination, passion, and creativity in their pieces.

What makes Spring Forward so special is the atmosphere that surrounds it. The event is built on encouragement, camaraderie, and a genuine sense of community. Backstage and in the audience, dancers cheered one another on, celebrated each other’s achievements, and created a supportive environment that made the experience unforgettable for everyone involved.
It was inspiring to see so many young performers thriving in a space where creativity is shared and confidence is built. Spring Forward continues to be a celebration of dance in all its forms — and of the connections that make our regional dance community so strong.

Here’s what some group leaders said they value most about being part of Spring Forward:
“Seeing the students get a buzz from performing and having the opportunity to watch other amazing students.”
“The atmosphere of excitement and support from all the staff and children alike.”
“Coming together and sharing work within the dance community.”
We are already in conversations with the theatres about dates for next year’s event, which will be announced in early autumn.
Thank you for everyone who joined us this year, we're looking forward to seeing you again next year!
