BARN is a collective theatre initiative, facilitated by Take Art, that supports Somerset’s emerging theatre-making sector to develop, test and showcase new work in a predominantly rural context

A new local arts and community network for Somerset for 2021. Precipitated by Covid-19, Totally Local will strengthen and develop Take Art’s existing rural touring scheme and will establish a new network between our volunteer promoters and the wider Somerset performing arts sector.

Word/Play is a social prescribing project for people experiencing mental ill health. It uses performance poetry to empower individuals, giving them the freedom and encouragement to tell their stories.
