Pip’s performances are renowned for his ability to ‘break the fourth wall’, speaking directly with the audience, involving them with the emotions, making them an essential part of the performance. This play is no different.
Based on his and his brother’s experience of seeing their mum deteriorate and die from Alzheimer’s, it’s a moving and affectionate performance about the devastating effects of the disease; not only on the sufferer but on family, friends and carers. It’s a journey full of smiles, laughter, love and tears.
Recently Pip won the Stage Special Award, Fringereview.co.uk Award for Outstanding Theatre, the Valery Kashanov International Award for International Monodrama, and in 2018 a Lifetime Achievement Award from the Turkish Ministry of Culture.
