Limited places are available for the children's workshops, (for which a nominal fee of £2 per child is charged) so please book early to avoid disappointment.

Children's workshops with artist Carolyn Lefley
Join local artist Carolyn Lefley for a cyantotype (sun print) workshop learn how to create beautiful photographic blue prints using foraged natural materials. The prints are exposed using sunlight and rinsed in water. Participants will get to take home their own unique print. Suitable for all ages. Book your spot here.
Bug Hunt with Countryside Manager, Rachael Whaites
Join Rachael Whaites, Countryside Manager, for a minibeast bug hunt. Find the creepy crawlies and amazing creatures lurking in the great outdoors of Ham Hill Country Park.
We have two Cyanotype workshops on offer with Carolyn Lefley and two Bug Hunt workshops.
Tickets are charged at £2 per child per workshop. Although adults are free they still need to book a free ticket. Pre booking is essential as a maximum of 10 tickets per workshop group are available.

The workshops will all run near the woodland area, at the foot of the steps, opposite the pub. In the case of wet weather the Cyanotype workshops will run in the Rangers Office.
Please wear appropriate footwear and water proof clothing if required on the day.
Learn to Fly with Pirates of the Carabina
Enjoy a beginners aerial workshop for Children aged 7+ with Shaena Brandel from Pirates of the Carabina.
Experience the sensation of Flying on the Aerial circus rig, by learning simple tricks and shapes on Aerial Silks and Hoop. Whether you’re totally new to circus, or an Olympic gymnast, this workshop will limber you up and introduce you to some of the fundamentals of Aerial.
This is a great opportunity for little people to let loose, have some fun and learn some new circus skills along the way.

Flying near the stone circle, Ham Hill.
A brief consent form will be required (supplied by Pirates of the Carabina) to be filled in when signing up or before the workshop.
Storytelling with Sarah Mooney

Join Sarah in a story about the land, the people, the Somerset community and help shape the words and pathway of this fun, narrative, adventure.

Music from the Little Big Horns
Starting at 1pm in the Prince of Wales Beer Garden.
Join the Little Big Horns for moving and grooving in a fun, promenade, heading toward Ham Hill's stone circle.
Little Big Horns will also play directly after Brainfools Circus show of Lucky Pigeons!
Lucky Pigeons by Brainfools Circus
Lucky Pigeons is a contemporary circus show featuring choreographed movement, virtuosic circus skills and incredible acrobatics.
A young businessman struggles with the demands of city life, after losing his job he takes his frustrations out on a group of city pigeons. Karma returns, and the young man finds himself turned into a pigeon! He has to learn quickly about the playful world of a misunderstood animal.
Become absorbed in Brainfools’ crazy world and be transported into the soulful story of a man’s transformation to a place of understanding.
This is FREE for all the family!
Starting at 1.30pm, the Stone Circle at Ham Hill
Bring a picnic blanket, camp chair or something to sit on and maybe a picnic.
Please if you bring it with you, take it with you! Including all rubbish.
Get to know your local food producers - QR code activity
We are delighted to bring you an interactive activity using QR code fun! Running from the monument, bring your smart phone to scan a code and explore the landscape around you.
Running throughout the day discover Flaxdrayton Farm, Bagnell Farm and North Perrott Farm in this digital, drone delight!
From 10.30am onward

- Music from Bad Education will play from 3-6pm
- Local food served throughout the day including breakfast from 9-11am (pre booking advisable)
- Lunch and dinner from 12pm - 9pm
- Tea Time BBQ from 2-6pm
- Fresh pizza and Yard's ice cream available throughout the day
- Please only consume food purchased at The Prince of Wales in their beer garden, and at their picnic benches
- Drinks should not be taken onto the hill
