CHILL ON THE HILL returns for its third year on Sunday 1 September 2024 at Ham Hill Country Park, Stoke Sub Hamdon.
Join us for the last hoorah of the Summer! Expect live music, performances, workshops and good, local food. Bring cash or card to support our local producers who will be trading and ready to serve you. Or if you prefer to bring a picnic, come prepared!

Partnering with our friends and rangers at Ham Hill Country Park, this year sees a flavour of South Asian Culture. Combining circus performances and workshops for children, the event welcomes everyone to the hill to explore nature, the land and celebrate diverse communities in South Somerset.
CHILL ON THE HILL PROGRAMME
WORKSHOP PROGRAMME: Circus, aerial, art and nature workshops from 10AM
All children’s ART, TIGER HUNT and AERIAL workshops are £5 per child and need to be booked ahead of each workshop and paid online. To reserve your spot please click here. Only children need to book a ticket but they must be accompanied by an adult.
10.30am to 12.30pm - Early Years Musical Play Space
Join Take Art's Early Years Music team in a special space set up ready for your children aged 0 to 5 years to lead you in exploring musical play together. There is no need to book in advance. The activity is free to join at any time but there will be a limit on numbers for the play sessions. Each child MUST be accompanied by an adult.

Sit back and relax with your picnic or purchase some food from one our local producers while enjoying:
- music from Tim Hill’s Little Big Horns
- giant puppet Sovereign Nature and storytelling
- movement and fitness fun with Indian dance artist Avtar
- Indian dance performance from Vidya and the Keralan Dancers
- singing with the Cultivate Family Choir
- learning about spice and flavour in Keralan cooking
2pm to 3.30pm
Charlie Bicknell presents the hilarious THE PINK BALLOON!
Charlie Bicknell introduces a little woman and a very very big balloon!!
Matt Pang presents circus performance THINGINABOB
With an internationally renowned blend of circus, invention and humour, Matt brings to life a giant ball slinging, self exploding piece of handcrafted gadgetry, inspired by the famous Rube Goldberg machines and Heath Robinson contraptions.
CHILL CELEBRATION with music from Little Big Horns and dance with Indian dance artist Avtar
Music from SKA-kives at the Prince of Wales pub at Ham Hill from 3-6pm

CHILL ON THE HILL LOCAL PRODUCERS
Bagnell Farm - is nestled at the bottom of Ham Hill, in little Norton. The farm produces prize winning Ruby Red Devon cattle, Jacob Pigs and Iron Age Sheep. Come and sample:

- 100% Red Ruby Devon Burger, Mozzarella and homemade slaw £8.00
North Perrott Apple Juice - North Perrott Fruit Farm is run by Jonathan and Anwen who are the 3rd generation to tend the apple orchards. The farm has continually been developed over the past 50 years. Come and purchase their scrumptious apple juice in either a small or large bottle starting from £3.
Laura’s Kitchen - Laura returns for her second year at Chill on the Hill. Last year she sold out of her scrumptious cakes and bakes. Expect cookie pies, loaded cookies, gooey brownies, chunky rocky road, varieties of millionaire shortbread, fruity cupcakes and much much more! Prices range from £2 - £4 per cake.
White Pepper - Lewis and his team from White Pepper welcome you to Chill on the Hill with an Indian vegetarian offering for the senses and palette. Offering traditional Keralan cuisine including dishes to stir the senses and tantalise the tastebuds.

The Prince of Wales Pub – Mike and Nikki at The Prince of Wales, located on Ham Hill welcome you to their stunning pub, including plenty of outdoor space for eating, drinking and relaxing. Serving breakfast, lunch and dinner their meals are made with some of the best local ingredients around.

- Food served – 12pm - 9pm
