David Glass Ensemble

Two Day Training Programme

Two days of workshops introducing the International Lost Child Project framework, methodology and context.

Take Art is delighted to be collaborating with The Octagon to offer two further days of David Glass Ensemble workshops as an introduction to the International Lost Child Project framework, methodology and context: Thursday 11 and Friday 12 May at the Arts Hub, Flook House, Taunton.

Led by renowned teacher and founder of The Lost Child Project, David Glass, this training programme will contribute to plans to develop a potential future project in Somerset.

Who is it for? The David Glass Ensemble is keen to engage with local practitioners with a strong interest in using theatre and creativity to empower young people and give voice to the voiceless. This could include drama and arts workers, teachers, care and social workers, mental health practitioners and, of course, young people themselves (usually in teens or early twenties).

David will design the programme so that it’s relevant to people who did the initial training last December, as well as anybody who’s not previously attended any workshops.

David is very happy for practitioners to attend who are interested in learning about his methodology; you can receive the training without making any commitment to sign up to the longer-term project.

Cost for the two days’ programme: £35; £20 (under 25s); and there are a few free, bursary places available on request. We are able to offer all these places at subsidised rates due to support from Take Art and The Octagon Theatre. If you would like to book a bursary place please email theatre@takeart.org

Evening Event: David Glass will host an event on Thursday 11th May, 7.30 – 9.00 pm at Flook House where he will talk and share films about the impact of The Lost Child Project internationally. This event will be opened out to a wider audience as well as participants in the workshop programme who would like to stay for the evening (included in the workshop price).

Booking: Please book your workshop place below. Further details will be sent out nearer the time.
