Music In The Early Years: Enabling Your Musical Environment - Devon

This training event is part of SoundWaves Network SW three-year Youth Music funded programme and supported by Devon & Torbay Music Education Hub.

SoundWaves Network SW Early Years Music training is coming to Devon

Tuesday 26 September 2023 4:00pm - 6:00pm Ellacombe C of E Academy, Torquay

Led by Take Art’s Early Years Music team Jane Parker with Charlotte Gibbs, this training will support participants to:

  • Gain skills in developing very young children’s musicality through appropriate rhymes and simple songs
  • Help think about the role of music within all areas of EYFS, particularly communication and personal, social and emotional development.
  • Observe young children’s spontaneous music making and reflect on the role of the adult
  • Help practitioners overcome their fears of engaging in and leading music activities in a safe supportive space.
