This practical workshop that will support you to consider your early years musical environment by:
- Exploring repertoire – songs and rhymes
- Noticing the ‘invisible’ musical environment – tuning into children’s spontaneous musical behaviour
- Playing instruments and using props – being the child’s interested musical play partner
- Your setting’s auditory environment – music that is meaningful to children, families and your own EY setting staff
This will be an interactive session during which Jane will guide you through a number of tools that you can take back to your settings and share with your children.
The session will include video examples, pedagogical explanations, and practical elements.
