Cutting their teeth in various environments, Rwkus are a contemporary jazz band born in Bristol. Influenced by various forms of jazz, hip hop, afrobeat, latin and electronic music.
They are performing as part of Minehead Bay Festival that starts at 12pm
Minehead and Coast Development Trust (MCDT), along with local community organisation Kite, are organising a free festival centred around local art, culture, and wellness to be held on Minehead Esplanade. The aim of the event is to celebrate local art and culture, and bring the whole community together through fun and engaging activities and events.
There will be a variety of entertainment and activities including a stage for live music, as well as other live performances from local dance and drama groups. There will be a portable skate ramp erected on the esplanade with professional skateboarders providing tuition to young people, a wellness tent which provides yoga sessions, immersive story-telling and sound baths delivered by local practitioners, sand-sculpting workshops by a World Champion sand sculpting artist, arts and craft workshops, live street art demonstrations and murals, and live circus performances and shows.
