The Tongues of Fire at Bere Cider Company

Celebrate the final day of The Somerset Food Trail with the Cultivate project at Take Art and discover Bere Cider Company. Expect cider tasting, a cider talk, music, food and poetry. The Tongues of Fire perform - expect a party!

Take Art's Cultivate project has been delighted to be involved with The Somerset Food Trail 2022. Adding a cultural flavour to the activity in South Somerset we have seen music, poetry, family shows and are excited to be at Bere Cider Company on Sunday 24 July.

Who is Bere Cider Company?

Award-winning craft cider maker, selling cider, perry, apple juice and vinegar from their shop with other locally sourced products. They also have a café and bar, overlooking the beautiful Somerset Levels. 

What to expect on Sunday 24 July?

To celebrate the last day of the epic Somerset Food Trail Festival, Bere Cider will host an afternoon of live music from the Boston Tea Party along with Tongues of Fire so expect a party! 

There will be a guided tasting talk by globally recognised cider judge and acclaimed writer and image curator Bill Bradshaw, who’ll tell you the story of Somerset’s spectacular cider revival. 

Poet, David Reakes from Tor Theatre Company will also be reading his commissioned poem about The Somerset Food Trail, and in celebration of the festival and Take Art’s involvement. With great food, music and poetry what’s not to love?

No booking required just turn up!

Order of events as follows:

  • 12-2pm –The Boston Tea Party
  • 2pm –Cider Talk and Tasting with Bill Bradshaw
  • 3pm –Poetry with David Reakes followed by music from 9 piece band -The Tongues of Fire.
