The Reduced Ring is an imaginative reworking of Wagner’s entire Ring Cycle. Think opera, think pop, add brevity and a heavy dose of comedy and you get the idea! Wagner took 15 hours, the Somerset based Bluebirds Theatre Company www.thebluebirds.org.uk, experts at re-telling even the most complex tale, take just an hour and a quarter. Meet all the weird and wonderful characters from The Ring Cycle and listen to some great operatic music in a beautiful mash-up.

This outdoor show is intended to appeal to all ages and is brought to you from The Bluebirds’ own theatre stage on wheels, The Popera House. The story features the amazing love story of Siegfried and Brunhilde and their epic quests. Along with full-size performers, there will be a fair few pint-size ones as The Bluebirds bring their wonderful puppets onto The Popera House stage.

Due to covid restrictions numbers are limited and via pre-booked tickets only. No ticket sales on the gate

Gates open: from 5:30pm

This is an outdoor evening performance so please bring appropriate clothing as the show will go ahead in most weather conditions. Only in the event of extremely bad weather will the performance be postponed/cancelled, and a refund be possible.

You are most welcome to picnic before or after the show. Ice-lollies will be on- sale but no other refreshments are available. Bring a picnic rug or fold-up chairs (but low-back only please). Due to covid restrictions the audience should expect to be spread out and to ensure a clear view for all, groups with chairs will be seated further back.

The show is suitable for all ages but please no unaccompanied children.
