Divergent Creativity

Featuring digital, visual arts and theatre-based practice, this free event will explore the challenges, joys and out of the box thinking behind the creation process for neurodivergent/disabled artists.
The Arts and Culture Diversity Forum Somerset champions diversity and equality in the arts in Somerset. Facilitated by Take Art, Somerset Art Works and Somerset Film, it represents a safe space for us all to talk honestly, share experiences and best practice, challenge perceptions, and provoke individual and collective action.
Leaps of Faith
We’ve been asked by Somerset-based writer, Sian Williams, to give a mention to Leaps of Faith, which we hope Somerset’s theatre-making community might be able to support. Produced and written by members of the Frome Writers Collective, the event will include readings of eight short monologues by members of the collective.
The event is at 7.30pm on Thursday 29th February at The Merlin Theatre in Frome.

Artists’ Support Resources
As we mentioned in the last newsletter, we’ve joined forces with several other companies and organisations in Somerset to produce a guide for performing artists and freelance creatives in the county to know who they can go to for different types of support, for example: who can offer advice on funding applications or who might have rehearsal space available?
We are all also meeting in early February to explore our collective offer in more detail, so watch this space.
