Job Title: Freelance Visual / Digital Artist Early Years

Job Description:
This is an excellent opportunity for freelance visual / digital artists to work in the county of Somerset. Our aim is to provide under fives with the opportunity to work with an artist while at the same time supporting Somerset Early Years workforce, adopting a playful, open-ended and child centered approach. We have funding to run several short-term projects over the next two years.
Each project will be 6 half days delivery in an Early Years setting in central Somerset, working directly with groups of under fives. We pay a project fee of up to £900 (dependent on experience). The fee for each project allows for your preplanning, reflection on the activity with EY practitioners, jointly producing documentation, delivery of one twilight 2.5 hr InspirED CPD session (for which you would also produce a handout) for a wider group of EY practitioners. Applicants must have understanding of the EYFS, proven creative practice with under fives and mentoring skills.
Applicants must hold a current DBS, along with a full, clean driving licence. Access to own transport is essential.
