We have a full two months of touring from some wonderful performance companies who are travelling to every corner of the county! What better way to spend an autumn evening than seeing some great live art, which in turn supports volunteer promoters and community projects?
Get into some Good Habits this Autumn by booking some tickets with Take Art!
Good Habits are a folk-fusion duo bringing a characteristically joyful energy to their music. Composed of Bonnie Schwarz (cello + vocals) and Pete Shaw (accordion), the pair mix virtuosic musicianship and vocal harmony with vivid storytelling, drawing on their diverse musical tastes and weaving them into an action-packed narrative of folky goodness.
We’re also excited to welcome several companies from outside the UK who are bringing some unique opportunities and experiences for children and families.
In September we welcome performers from Kerala, south India to perform for us Kathakali! This style of dance drama is a traditional art in Kerala and features traditional face painting which is applied to the performers before every show. We’re very lucky to be hosting the most accomplished Kathakali company outside of India to Somerset. During this tour, the venues will be open throughout the day for you to come and see the costumes and paint going onto the performers. Check out this video for more on what to expect from this rare treat!
We have a return of Norwegian dance company Panta Rei to Hatch Beauchamp. This time they bring a dazzling children’s show featuring a beautiful set, graceful movement and a million petals! The children are then involved in curated playtime after the show.
