Merlin in Mendip - international theatre experiences on your doorstep

27 August 2013

Take Art Rural Touring Director Sarah Peterkin saidWe want our rural touring audiences to witness extraordinary shows on their doorsteps, reminding them why live theatre is worth watching and why local theatres are worth saving.”

The Merlin in Mendip season begins in spectacular fashion with an international show from the hugely fun French circus theatre company Hors Pistes and their daring and dexterous outdoor touring show Ordures et Ménagère (Household Rubbish), combining thrilling dance and circus skills, eccentricity, brilliant choreography and catchy tunes!

Merlin in Mendip are supporting two performances of the show, one at Jubilee Hall in Batcombe on Saturday 14 September and the other on the 15 September at the ECOS Amphitheatre, in the grounds of the Merlin Theatre. Take Art is also running a separate show on Thursday 12 September at Kingsmead Community School in Wiveliscombe. Read more and book tickets here.

This project has been generously subsidised by the PASS European project.

Later in 2013 Merlin and Mendip will also be showcasing the critically raved about physical comedy You and Me by Spanish company Little Soldiers Productions, which will be at appearing at The Merlin Theatre on 2 November and at Pilton Working Men’s Club on 22 November.
