We're halfway through summer, and cherishing every moment in the sun. We can't keep autumn away, but we look forward to bringing you exiting dance performances that might just help you forget about the approaching jumper season. Until then, read our latest updates and news below.
Little Big Dance
Remember how we tantalisingly hinted at something big in our last newsletter? Well, get ready to unleash your inner child because we are about to spill all the details of the latest Little Big Dance tour!
We are delighted that commissioned artist Xenia Aidonopoulou will bring her new pioneering, multi-sensory dance show, Skydiver, to Somerset. The piece has been commissioned by the Little Big Dance programme to challenge the industry and rethink how dance is made and presented for very young audiences. After premiering at Dance Umbrella in October, Skydiver will be coming to The McMillan Theatre, Bridgwater on Sunday 18 November.
The resulting piece is a highly visual theatrical experience for families that evokes a magical dream-like world in the skies, brought to life by a stellar cast of creatives. Take a peek into this amazing show below!

Our Turn
As we gear up for the summer holidays, we wanted to update you on a small change. Our Turn sessions will be taking a short break over the month of August. The break will allow everyone to recharge, soak up the summer sun or the typically British rain, and come back in September with renewed energy and fresh ideas.
Our Turn sessions will be back on Monday, 4 September 1pm – 4pm at St Peter’s Community Centre, Yeovil.
Spring Forward
Spring Forward will be back for 2024!
Dates are being finalised as we speak, and will be announced in our October newsletter along with all the important information about how to apply!
We can’t wait for the return of the most exciting and inclusive platform in the Somerset dance calendar next year!
