Join Us For Some Circus!

Take Art Rural Touring continues to bring high quality art performances to local communities at affordable rates, making extraordinary moments happen in ordinary places. During the warmer weeks of August these will take place outdoors in a safe and accessible setting, making them ideal for families. 

We're excited to welcome the wonderful contemporary circus company Brainfools, who are coming to tour Somerset locations in August. Check out the dates and other shows we have on offer for the next two months. 

21 August - Chill On The Hill

Meet us on Ham Hill on 21 August to see Brainfools and their new piece, Lucky Pigeons. It's an amazing show, telling the story of a man’s journey to fit in with society. The tale is told through movement and incredible circus skills, this is a performance you don't want to miss! Staged outdoors this show is ideal for families and take place in a safe and accessible setting. 

27 August - Brainfools at Corton Denham

3 September - Rwkus at Minehead 

Nu-Jazz quintet, RWKUS comes to Somerset to excite audiences with virtuosic, fast-paced Jazz, guaranteed to get your feet tapping! Rwkus are a contemporary jazz band born in Bristol, influenced by various forms of jazz, hip hop, afrobeat, latin and electronic music. They are performing as part of Minehead Bay Festival that starts at 12pm. 30 September - David Eagle at Wootton Courtenay

David Eagle is a multi award winning comedian and musician. He is blind and his stand up often explores how this leads him into numerous surprising, hilarious encounters and misadventures. From his years playing folk clubs, comedy clubs, theatres, arts centres and festivals, David is a versatile personable performer able to engage a broad range of people with his irreverent brand of music and comedy. A big thank you to Somerset-based Bluebirds Theatre, who performed three shows across the summer through the Rural Touring scheme.
