Taking place on 2nd July the children took part in a workshop and were given the opportunity to perform dance and theatre work they had been creating in school on the professional stage at The Octagon Theatre in Yeovil. SYDC (Somerset Youth Dance Co) completed the afternoon with a beautiful performance and the children were up in their seats and shouting for more.
The event was a tremendous success and next year InspirED will be hosting three Dance/Drama Festivals around the county. We hope to be able to attract up to 8 inspirED Primary schools, per event, giving primary schoolchildren the opportunity to perform on a theatre stage and also to watch other children perform as part of their experience!
