DramaFest was an InspirED event, showcasing the work of secondary drama students from schools across Somerset, to each other as well as to a public audience. InspirED subscribing schools Huish Academy from Huish Episcopi and Bishop’s Foxes School, Taunton, as well as Yeovil's Bucklers Mead Academy and Preston Academy, all took to the stage at Yeovil's Octagon Theatre.
Over 72 students took part in the platform - all having an opportunity to perform a devised, scripted or improvised piece of theatre on a professional theatre stage as well as watch each other perform. Their work included:
Can’t Pay, Won’t Pay by Dario Fo - Huish Academy
Burying Your Brother in the Pavement - Bishops Foxes School
Titanic: Our Interpretation - Preston Academy
Don’t Ignore Me - Bucklers Mead Academy
Monologues - Bucklers Mead Academy
Shakers by John Godber - Huish Episcopi Academy
