Why Come?

We want to stimulate a rigorous pow wow between a vibrant mix of performers, producers, promoters, programmers… Anyone, in fact, who cares about the future of live performance.
Somerset has many rural assets of which we’re proud: vibrant market towns; festival and tourism opportunities; a strong network of venues and beautiful places and spaces - pubs, farmyards, kitchens, village halls, hills, forests and sheds  - to make and present work.

In the midst of all the arts policy furore leading up to the general election, we want to galvanise our collective creative energy into a strong voice that shouts loud and clear: we live in a dynamic, unique and creative county. And we care deeply about the future. We want people to be stirred and agitated by the power of the performing arts to do brilliant things. Together. Oh, and it’s free!
