So Many Treats! What Will You Pick?

01 February 2024

As the days lengthen, we welcome more artists to our village halls, churches and pubs. We have a packed programme offering everything you could possibly desire. Will you choose to be taken on a whimsical adventure by Flibbertigibbet Theatre, cook with Protein, laugh with Max Calaf Sevé, or fall in love with Blair Dunlop?

We welcome back John Osborne and Blair Dunlop to do longer tours of their one-person shows. We got great feedback from both artists on their shows in 2023. Folk band Cri du Canard lead a French ceilidh known as a Bal, for you to get your dancing shoes on. For music lovers, these are not to be missed!

Blair Dunlop & Cri Du Canard

We will fit a huge trampoline into North Curry church and Holyrood academy for Spanish artist Max Calaf Sevé to perform on with his hilarious show Anyday in March. This kicks off the first shows of 2024 brought to Rural Touring through our new circus project Circus Around And About 2. This project is working with national partners and international artists to bring the best contemporary circus shows to rural venues.

Teatro Vivo are touring pubs and small village halls with their theatre piece that celebrates the histories (true or false) that The Regulars tell at the bar.

Internationally renowned dance company Protein will cook up a storm in Wiveliscombe and Castle Cary. Sit at their makeshift restaurant and experience dance like you never have before and contribute to the making of a sticky toffee pudding! Thanks to the Rural Touring Dance Initiative for brining this show to us!
