Somerset Youth Dance Company (SYDC) is auditioning for new members in September. We’re on the look out for any young dancers who might be interested in joining!

SYDC is for dancers who are aged between 13-21 who have a passion and commitment to develop their dancing. The company is now finding continued success on both local and national dance stages, having just returned from the National Youth Dance England Event, U.Dance 2014, where they performed the piece they had commissioned by Retina Dance Company (see the video below). This is the second year SYDC has been selected to represent the South West at this national event.

The company continues to work with exciting dance companies, having worked with Motionhouse and Retina already this year, and a Jasmin Vardimon Dance Company residency is lined up for October. SYDC runs classes in both Bridgwater and Yeovil, and successful SYDC members will attend a weekly session at their nearest location. There will also be an additional fortnightly Sunday rehearsal scheduled for advanced members of the company.
