Take Art: Because we're worth it…

Take Art has been working, singing and doing the splits in Somerset for nearly 30 years, long enough to build real relationships with communities, artists and audiences. We are an arts organisation without physical limitations: lithe, sinewy, adaptable and transmutable - able to shape shift into any venue, village hall, school and community centre.

From our hub in South Petherton we run one of the UK's most celebrated rural touring schemes, the county dance agency and hugely successful projects that support artists, education and participation in the Arts.

Every year we provide performance and workshop opportunities for thousands of children, young people, adults, older people and vulnerable groups. Through our work we seek to educate, inform national practice, improve self-esteem, empower, build empathy, careers, happiness as well as physical and mental well-being.

We don't wait for the people to come to us, we go out to where the people live and transform lives and communities through the arts.
