Motionhouse, a leading UK dance theatre company, performed it's new gravity-defying show Broken last night at The Octagon Theatre, invoking an electric response from the audience. There was a fantastic buzz in the theatre as the company erupted onto their incredible set combining stunning athleticism and dance with intricate digital imagery and original music in a visual and adrenaline-fuelled spectacle.
Take Art's own Somerset Youth Dance Company had the huge honour of performing on stage with a curtain raiser before the main show. Motionhouse dancer Becci Williams worked with the young dancers over an intensive 3 days to create the friendship inspired piece T.I.M.E. Congratulations to SYDC for a flawless performance, and a huge thank you to Becci and Motionhouse for taking the time to work with them and create an impressive piece.
Here are a few of the tweets from the inspired members of Somerset Youth Dance Company:
@durmm: @MotionhouseDT was amazing tonight! And doing the curtain opener was such an amazing experience!! Well done @SYDCtakeart team.
@JodieBray14: Motionhouse was insane!! One of the best shows I have ever watched!
