With huge thanks to Somerset County Council, we’re delighted to announce that we’ve been given funding for a brand-new dance project for people living with dementia, and their carers.

Take Art has been collaborating with our friends at Actiontrack Performance Company and working with young people across Somerset. #Focus5 is one of the referral agencies that we work with and they've been a brilliant connecting point for us to make contact with participants. SPARSE is an EU project that aims to give people from rural communities access to arts by taking performances by professionals into rural areas to rural audiences in local community venues. The results of the 1st tour audience survey seem very positive and encouraging. The methodology consisted of paper survey of the audience members. The same questions were asked in each country.

Perform Europe will support experiments to make touring of performing arts works in Creative Europe countries more sustainable and inclusive. The ultimate goal of Perform Europe is to design a future support scheme for cross-border touring and digital distribution of the performing arts.

Every year, Small Size Days celebrate the wonder of arts and Early Years: bringing the very youngest children, their families and their educators together. Taking place from the 29th to the 31st January 2021, it will this year offer online performances, workshops and other activities for children from 0 to 6.

Youth Music funded project led by Black Acre Records in Bristol. It includes an opportunity for a young musician aged 18-25 living in Somerset and the bordering rural areas. Activity will be in both Bristol and Somerset and there will be support for travel costs as well as payment for time spent on the project which runs from the spring to October 2021.
