Spring Forward is Somerset’s County Youth Dance Platform, produced by Take Art, where young dancers get the opportunity to perform on a professional stage, to be inspired by their peers and supported by Take Art and each other.

Hundreds and hundreds of dancers, from Youth Dance Companies, School/College Dance Groups or Young Dancers who are based in and around Somerset, will travel from all over Somerset and the South West to be part of an annual extravaganza that has grown so big, we have to run it over four nights and two venues.

2016 will be the twelfth year of Spring Forward and each year attracts ever growing numbers of entries. Hundreds of dancers, from youth dance companies, school/college dance groups or young dancers who are based in and around Somerset, will travel from all over the South West to be part of an annual extravaganza that has grown so big that we have to run it over four nights and two venues. One performance night (Wed 24 February) is at The Octagon Theatre in Yeovil and three (Mon 14 - Wed 16 March) at the Tacchi Morris Arts Centre in Taunton. These platforms form part ofSpring Forward Festival 2016. This year’s programme also includes opportunities for young people to take part in dance workshops, training and CPD sessions for teachers/youth dance leaders and professional dance pieces to watch.
