Take Art is looking to recruit a Dance Director. This is a permanent post, subject to core funding. The job is a 4-day a week position (29.6 hours), including some evening and weekend work. Salary up to £30,900 pro rata (£24,720) based on experience. Read more here...

We are delighted to launch BARN, a three-year initiative that supports Somerset’s emerging theatre-making sector to develop, test and showcase new work in a predominantly rural context.

Somerset Arts organisation Take Art, in partnership with Surrey Arts and China Plate, has received £92k from the Arts Council’s Strategic Touring Fund and £24k from the Paul Hamlyn Foundation for the Early Years regional Theatre project Hopper, focusing on Somerset and Surrey in 2017/18.

It's the season of mist and mellow fruitfulness and that means a new Take Art brochure, full of inspiring ways to boost your melatonin, decorate your evenings and improve your social life.

The Rural Touring Dance Initiative is coming to a village near you, as the first shows start touring around Somerset and the UK. Dates Now Released!
